San Francisco Restaurants Want 25% As Standard Tip

San Francisco Restaurant workers want to include a 25% standard tip onto your bill for you, regardless of the service.

There are a lot in the food industry signing its praises, “…yes, it’s about time.”
But according to an article in the San Jose Mercury News, most people, on average tip between 15% – 20% and the restaurant worker actually only has to claim 15% of that to the IRS.

But there are some who think with the state of the nation’s economy is in, that 25% is not unreasonable.

Some think it's time we start tipping the workers at fast food places as well. Most fast food workers earn minimum wage and rarely get tips.

Not too long ago, like yesterday, here was a guideline for tipping:

We are in the food industry and we understand times are tough, but, we believe a tip is to reward service, it's something earned.
