Dr. Pepper Ten - "It's not for Women"

We aren't too sure about the motives behind Dr Pepper Ten, (10-calories) soft drink ad campaign that advertises, "It’s not for women."
The soft drink was developed after the company’s research experts decided that men don't like diet drinks because they aren’t "manly" enough. (really, they believe that)

This particular soda has calories and sugar unlike the diet versions.
This beverage and the ads come at a time when sales in the $74 billion soft drink industry are slowing down.
Volume has fallen from slightly over 10 billion cases in 2005 to 9.4 billion cases in 2010, according to Beverage Digest data.

Dr Pepper said men, in particular, are unhappy about the taste and image of diet drinks. (that's news to us)
The company won' tell us what's in Dr Pepper Ten, but said that the drink has 10 calories and 2 grams of sugar, which gives it a sweeter taste.
Dr Pepper said there are 23 different flavors in its regular soda, (with 150 calories and 27 grams of sugar per can) and Dr Pepper Ten contains all of the flavors.
