Face of Jesus appears in elderly man's bacon and egg breakfast tortilla

Ernesto Garza, 80, (in photo below with Jesus) says he was about to dig into the taco he got at an adult day care center near Corpus Christie, Texas, when he realized Christ was staring back at him.
You can see the face in the burn marks of the tortilla.

Actually, we think the face looks more like Jim Morrison.

The Last Takeaway : Jesus' face is seen in peeling paint and dirt outside Chinese takeaway

It's been a while, we haven't seen the Virgin Mary or the face of Jesus lately.
But hallelujah, the wait is over.

The Chinese takeaway has the face if Jesus appearing amongst peeling paint and dirt on the door of the restaurant.

Two drunk customers  said, 'It was Jesus looking right at us, we were shocked and couldn't believe it. 'It's a miracle!

The heart tissue of Jesus in a wafer

We see the priest holding up a reliquary containing a dark spot that appeared on a communion wafer in 2008.
Under almost every circumstance that would be meaningless, at least to us.
But what do we know? Apparently, not much because there are Roman Catholics in Poland who believe that dark spot is the actual heart tissue of Jesus.

You read that right, but let's go over it again.

Roman Catholics in Poland gathered together Sunday for a special Mass celebrating what they see as a miracle: the appearance on a communion wafer of a dark spot that they are convinced is part of the heart of Jesus.

This communion wafer developed a brown spot in 2008 after falling onto the floor. (we were thinking dirty foor)
But for some reason medical doctors were called in, and they determined that the spot was heart muscle tissue.

Bialystok Archbishop Edward Ozorowski declared during the Mass that in history, the "substance of Christ's body or blood has become available to the human senses, and this also happened in Sokolka."
"For God, nothing is impossible," Ozorowski said.
The dark-spotted wafer was carried in a reliquary by a golden-robed priest in a procession parade and was put on display in the town's church of St. Anthony as about 1,000 faithful looked on.

The wafer was dropped by a priest celebrating communion in 2008. In accordance with church practice, the priest placed the wafer in water to dissolve it. Several days later a nun found that the wafer had not dissolved completely, and found a red mark on it.

Jesus at Walmart

A South Carolina couple have in their possession a Wal-Mart sales receipt with the face of Christ on it.

Gentry Lee Sutherland and Jacob Simmons got the holy receipt June 12 at a Wal-Mart store in Travelers Rest, S.C.

'People are going to believe what they want to believe,' said Sutherland.

"There's tons of people who will say, 'Oh, we're in the Bible Belt,' but here's my question to the doubters, who else has the power to put their face on a check-out receipt but Jesus?"

And at Walmart of all places...

A Vision or Going Bananas?

Cedric Hooper bought some bananas at his local supermarket and when he got home and found one skin contained two bananas. (sorry, but the story doesn't get much better)

"This banana looked fatter than the others we bought and when we split it open there were two inside instead of the usual one," he said.
"They were both within the same skin - it looked really strange.
"I like a banana most days and have bought thousands - but I've never seen anything like this one."
Mr Hooper said he had still eaten the fruit.
"Both tasted fine," he added.
Okay, we know the story sucks, but we were excited because Mr. Hooper didn't think the banana looked like Jesus, as we see below.

Maybe there is a connection of some kind, what do we know?, we're only food people looking for answers.

Jesus Found in Woman's Bruise

Sometimes we start thinking, we have no shame, but no time to worry about that now, besides, we have already eastablished that all these sightings are food related.
Just go back into our archives and you'll understand.
Anyway,  here's the story.
I's a bloody miracle according to the diabetic, Mary Massa.
This Christian woman claims she can see the face of Jesus in a bruise that was left on her arm after blood tests.
Mary, our Lady of the Hematoma, claims that behind  two needle punctures, on her bruised arm is the face of Christ.

The New Year Begins and here we go again

The new year begins and here we go again.
Online bidders have the opportunity of a lifetime (maybe longer) to purchase two potatoes with crosses in their centers. One was found by an Iowa family and the other by a police detective in Ohio.
Jim Gross of Marion, Iowa, says his wife was peeling their potato on New Year's Eve when she found the cross shape. This is on sale for eBay, with bids starting at $2.
Dennis Bort of Brunswick, Ohio, says he found the cross shape in his potato on Christmas Day.
He listed his potato for $1,000. He hasn't found any bidders yet.

Our faithful readers have sent us some interesting photos that may or may not be self explanatory:

Jesus and a Banana Peel

We thought all our sightings for the year had come to a conclusion, but apparently not.
Let's have one more, shall we?

Lisa Swinton saw the face of Jesus in her banana peel.
‘‘I was like ‘Oh my God! It’s Jesus on a banana!’’
‘‘I got it out of the fruit bowl and was about to peel it and eat it when I saw his face,’’ she said.
Even though she believes she saw Christ embedded into the banana, it didn't stop her from eating the blessed fruit, then throwing the holy peel away.
‘‘I put some photos up on Facebook – one of my friends said it looked like a monkey.’’
Ms Swinton seems to have holy visions everywhere.
‘‘One of my friends said they saw the Holy Mother on their bathroom door and another saw an apparition of Mary on the mold of their shower floor,’’ she said.

Religious Sightings - Year in Review

Let's take a look at the religious sightings and the competition that exists between them.

HOLY COW

Next up, a divine cow in Connecticut, yes, it's everywhere now.
A calf with a white marking on its forehead that some see as the shape of a cross was born last week at a dairy farm in Sterling, near the Rhode Island border.
Owner Brad Davis believes the marking may be a message from above, though he's still trying to figure out what that message might be. (good luck on that Brad)
The neighborhood children have named it Moses.
The chairman of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Dairy Science says while it's not unusual for a Holstein cow to have a white marking on its head, the cross shape is unique.
Without being disrespectful,  the marking also reminds us of  Casper the friendly ghost.

In a related story(well, not really)

The face of Jesus has been spotted in a toilet door in a Glasgow branch of Ikea.
The bearded face with long flowing hair, is plainly visible on the wooden door of the men’s toilet.

But the jury is out on this one.
Many see the face of Jesus, others say it's Gandalf, perhaps professor Dumbledore?
One shopper said: "It takes you by surprise. It is really clear in the wood.
I was only heading to the toilet and found God.
My wife thought He looked like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings but it is definitely more like the Turin Shroud."

The Holy Egg

Honestly, it must be that time of year.
We really aren't looking for these stories, it's like, they are falling out of the sky or something.
Pam and Tracy Norrell, a Fort Worth-area couple said one of their hens laid an egg with a cross on the end of it. And of course, they said they believe it's a sign of encouragement during the holiday season.
Tracy Norrell said he was gathering up eggs when one he picked up seemed to be unusual, not smooth like other eggs. The holy egg has what appears to be a cross on it.
The Norrells said eating the egg is not an option.
Even though they say they won't eat it, we wonder what would happen if they ate it with the Virgin Mary pancakes?

Woman sees image of Jesus on her iron

If you've learned anything about the Voodoo Kitchen and how we connect these stories to food, you'll understand why our interest has perk up once again.
(otherwise read past stories to understand why)
A Massachusetts woman who recently experienced personal troubles, like being separated from her husband and having  her hours cut at work says she sees an image of Jesus Christ she sees on her iron.
This image has reassured her that "life is going to be good."
Mary Jo Coady first saw Jesus Sunday when she walked into her daughter's room.
The brownish residue on the bottom of the iron looks like the face of a man with long hair.
She and her two college-age daughters came to the same conclusion,  the image looks like Jesus and is proof that "he's listening."
Coady  hopes her story will inspire others during the holidays.
She says she plans to keep the iron in the closet (the closet?) and buy a new one.

Jesus Appears on Truck Window

Jim Stevens may not be religious but that doesn't matter.
There's an image that keeps appearing on his truck, and he says it resembles Jesus Christ.
Stevens says every morning, an image that looks like the face of Jesus Christ has appeared in the condensation on the driver's side window of his Isuzu truck.
This has been going on for two weeks now, finally he just had to share this with
the folks at the grocery store.
They were just as amazed to see the image. No doubt.

We know this may not seem like a food story, but if we look deeper, maybe it is.
After so many sightings along with the Virgin Mary: in coffee stains, on mars, in Cheetos, chocolate, toast, tree stumps, cooking surfaces and who knows what else, we keep a watchful eye.
If you have doubts, we came across another religious experience of sorts, when in beer foil, staring back at the drinker, was the face of Christ himself. “I have no doubt it is the face of Jesus. You can even see his beard and hair,” said the man

This is why we bring these stories to you.
It may be your french toast next, we're just saying.

Jesus spotted on surface of Mars

Often people claim that Jesus appears as food, like the Cheeto
or on a Marmite lid like you see below.

But now the surface of the planet Mars has become the latest unlikely location that may have an image of Jesus. (see above)

An photograph taken by Nasa's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, supposedly reveals the face and robed body of Christ. It was taken on August 3, 2009.

We have looked at this sacred likeness closely and okay, it took a while, and there is some kind of image, but we aren't too sure of who or what.

Now, in the Cheeto we see something that looks more like a lego race car driver, but at least we see something. And we almost understand when breakfast turned into a religious experience when Jesus was discovered on the lid of Marmite.

But this Mars image, you take a look and see what you come up with.

Images that followers believe in bear a resemblance to Jesus Christ or the Virgin Mary have been discovered in all over the the world (now outside the world) prompting pilgrimages to their locations.

Good luck on this one.

Another Miracle - Man finds Jesus in coffee stain

RAVENA, N.Y.
A New York state man says he has discovered Jesus Christ in a coffee stain on the inside of a mason jar drinking mug.
Jerry Stolfi, 49, says he saw the face of Jesus face wearing the crown of thorns after finishing a cup of coffee. He is now keeping the mug carefully stored in a cupboard that has been re-dubbed a “shrine.
“It doesn’t smell, though, and I will never be washing it,” he said.
Stolfi said not everyone sees the same image when they look at the glass.
“It’s 50-50,” he said. “I don’t blame those that don’t see the image. I saw it straight off the bat.”
“You don’t hear about an image like this coming to everybody every day,” he said. “It’s so rare. He selected me for some reason.”
Stolfi e-mailed the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany twice and said he left a voice mail message, but received no response, which upset him.
