Unless we are mistaken, that guy on the Japanese Doritos package has his foot on his victim's package. (click photo for a closer look).
You just got to love Frito-Lay's relationship with Japan.
The product is "Tights-kun Doritos."
"Tights-kun" translated means something like, "Buddy-boy in tights" and is a somewhat popular cartoon character in Japan.
Frito-Lay felt comfortable using Buddy-Boy in tights as a mascot to get attention to their black corn chili Doritos.
One must remember, Japan is a place where here you can enjoy sea-urchin and beef tongue flavored ice cream.
So a foot in the crotch just may be he hot ticket
Frito-Lay (a division of PepsiCo) is making the new Strawberry Cheetos, yes, these are the same people who brought Japan Pepsi Ice Cucumber during Japan's record-breaking hot summer of 2007, and the Milk Chocolate Cheetos.
From what we hear, the "Strawberry Cheeto" is a regular Cheeto dipped in some sort kind of strawberry frosting and is "actually very good," according to some who believe cheese and strawberries are delicious together .
How many of you remember the real taste of Pepsi?
How about Mountain Dew?
We finally got around to that blast from the past, drinking the Pepsi and Mountain Dew throwback, and all we keep saying was, what were we waiting for?
It was better than we remembered it, not a thick syrupy taste, instead, light refreshing.
The bad news is that this outstanding beverage is for a limited time only.
We have no idea why they just don't keep the throwback, why for a limited time?
Pepsi, you expect us to go back to corn syrup after this?
PepsiCo Inc. plans to start producing batches of a secret new ingredient to make its Lay's potato chips healthier, not necessarily taste better, just healthier.
This should be an interesting experiment because salt adds body to foods as well as enhancing flavor, and little is understood about how salt is perceived on the tongue.
The secret ingredient is a designer, powdery salt, where the crystals are shaped and sized in a way that reduces the amount of sodium (25%) when consumers eat the chips.
The new salt could also reduce sodium levels in seasoned Lay's chips like Sour Cream & Onion, PepsiCo said, and it could be used in other products like Cheetos and Quaker bars.
At an investor conference the company said it is committed to cutting its products' average sodium per serving by 25% by 2015 and saturated fat and added sugar by 15% and 25%, sometime this decade.
Pressure is growing on U.S. food companies to act, because most of the salt Americans consume is in processed foods.
Michelle Obama is pressing food companies to cut fat, salt and sugar in their product, and New York City, as well as some health organizations, want restaurants and makers of packaged foods to cut salt 25% within the next five years.
They also want all Last Supper pictures burned, just kidding; that will come later.
