Sandy's Bar

The Sugar Bowl bar was blown away and taken by hurricane Sandy, then washes up after the seven mile journey, intact with fully stocked bar and its tables and chairs.

It was only last week that The Sugar Bowl was minding its own business at Breezy Point's shore.
Then came along Hurricane Sandy and the bar was taken for a seven mile ride from the Breezy Point area of New York Gerritsen Beach

Before: The Sugar Bowl at Breezy Point.

Somehow, The Sugar Bowl floated into Gerritsen Beach on the floodwaters, settling in the middle of a street.
Locals now call it, 'Sandy's Bar.'

Here you see how the bar was taken out into the water from Breezy Point before being washed up at Gerritsen Beach.
