Australian billionaires Pankaj and Radhika Oswal are opening a new worldwide veggie restaurant chain called ‘Otarian’.
“Meat eating is creating bad karma and you are also creating a vicious cycle.
It’s destroying us environmentally, economically and socially. I’m putting my money where my mouth is. I’ve always been a vegetarian so I have always felt strongly about it,” Radhika Oswal.
So she is going to open the world’s first restaurant that offers a menu that is going to save the planet,
New York already has theirs, you can see Radhika Oswal and Mary-Kate Olsen at the Grand opening of 'Otarian: The Planet's Most Sustainable Restaurant' in New York.
We just hope Mary-Kate isn't going to be a ‘Otarian’ spokesperson for healthy eating habits.
Otarian Restaurant, will open in London next month, will have carbon footprint published, in the veg menu, alongside the price and carbon cost of the meat equivalent.
This is fine and good but the Oswal family’s business still produces liquid ammonium, a pollutant which is used as a base ingredient for the production of fertilizers and explosives.
But having pointed that out, Radhika insists it is a positive effort.
She said: “It doesn’t mean that if you are doing something good that all parts of you have got to be good. I believe the world needs fertilisers to feed the population there is today.”
We aren't vegetarians, not even close, so we turn to a review, by a vegan who ate there:
