The Black Widow and Joey Chestnut devour the hot dogs

The Black Widow, the queen of competitive eating has devoured her own record on swallowing  down 45 hotdogs and buns in 10 minutes.

The Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island in New York has been a tradition for 97 years.

Yes, the Black Widow has done it again.

Sonya Thomas won the woman's event at the annual hot dog eating contest in Brooklyn's Coney Island.

Along with the hot dogs,  she receives $10,000.

And, Joey Chestnut ate his way to a sixth straight win at the Fourth of July hot dog eating contest at Coney Island on Wednesday, downing 68 hot dogs, to tie his personal best.

Last year, the 28-year-old San Jose, Calif., man nicknamed "Jaws" won with 62 hot dogs. This year Joey beat his main rival by 16 dogs, inhaling all 68 in 10 minutes in the sweltering summer heat to take home $10,000 and the mustard yellow belt.

'Black Widow' breaks chicken-eating record

The "Black Widow" has done it again.
She has gobbled down 183 chicken wings in 12 minutes to break her own world record set last year (181wings) in Buffalo, New York. Sonya Thomas took home first place at the 10th annual National Buffalo Wings Festival on Sunday. She beat Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, who came in second with 174 wings.



Sonya Thomas is called the Black Widow becomes she usually beats male competitors in eating contests.

The Black Widow Has Struck Again

The Black Widow has lured more victims into into her web.
Sonya Thomas, has won a moo npie eating competition in Caruthersville, Missouri.
Thomas collected $1,500 for devouring down 38 moon pies in eight minutes.

Sonya Thomas holds 38 world records in competitive eating for cheesecake, chicken wings, eggs, lobsters, tater tots, and Turducken.
She also has beaten Joey Chestnut in a previous competition.
