Spoonful of Sugar

Researchers at the University of California-San Francisco are making the claim that sugar is so toxic to the human body it should be regulated like alcohol.

The article, in the journal "Nature" has an idea to solve the toxic problem however, yes, more taxes.
Any and all foods and drinks that have added sweeteners would be taxed and apparently that would  solve the sugar issue.
The researchers also want to ban sales in or near schools and placing age limits on purchases.

New federal guidelines aimed at making school lunches more nutritious were announced this past week. It may seem like a welcome trend, but in the Los Angeles school district, many students are calling healthier inedible.

"It tastes bad. It looks bad. It doesn't even look like it's real food," said Baleria Franco, a student at Hollywood High School.

"The healthier it gets, the more disgusting it is," said student Kevin Albrecht.

So, let us see how the sugar ban goes over.
