Girlfriend Arrested Over Grits Attack

The holiday season seems to always bring the best out of people, doesn't it?
A 44-year-old woman has been arrested and booked with second-degree battery after pouring a pot of boiling grits onto her sleeping boyfriend.
The lovely Carolyn Brown (above photo) caused second-degree burns on her sleeping boyfriend's face and arms.
He told deputies that he came home from work, he got into an argument with Brown, he told her that he was breaking up with her, then went to bed.
It was then she got busy in the kitchen.
Grits are a favorite grain dish in the South, and are usually eaten as a breakfast dish, and sometimes used to pour over a sleeping boyfriend.
We aren't sure how Carolyn cooked her grits but here's a simple way for you to prepare your grits.

Time Required: 45 minutes (or until your victim falls asleep)

Here's how you do it:

  • In a 3- to 4-quart saucepan, bring 4 1/2 cups of water seasoned with 1 teaspoon of salt to a boil.
  • Slowly stir in 1 cup of regular grits (not instant, unless you have to hurry).
  • Continue stirring and reduce heat to low.
  • Cook for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
  • Blend in 4 to 6 tablespoons of butter. Serve or pour immediately.
