The King Cake



The King Cake tradition came to New Orleans with the early French settlers and it's still with us today.
In 1870, the Twelfth Night Revelers held their ball, with a large king cake as the big event.
It didn't take long before the king cake became popular in the society circles, and soon King Cake parties started up everywhere.

Now days, schools, offices and in homes you'll find the king cake parties.
 
Mardi Gras is a special time of year and the King Cake is a special tradition.
